When the COG collapsed, Baird joined the rest of Delta aboard the CNV Sovereign as part of the rapid response force that would assist several settlements the remnants of the COG had set up on the mainland. He joined the rest of the COG in its evacuation to Port Farrall and later Vectes, where the COG was forced to deal with the Stranded Insurgency, and later the Lambent Pandemic, during which Baird was often on the front lines helping formulate plans with the rest of Delta and Command. During Operation: Hollow Storm, he once again rejoined Delta, and fought through the campaign to sink Jacinto. After the successful conclusion to the offensive, he was assigned to lead Sigma-One with Cole, taking part in several battles against the Locust. Fourteen years later, he was a member of Alpha Squad during the Lightmass Offensive, but joined Delta Squad along with Cole after the rest of the squad was killed. He joined the Coalition of Ordered Governments army on Emergence Day, and soon after met Augustus Cole, who became his best friend. He also appears to be an expert in collecting and analyzing Locust weapons, other equipment, artifacts and documents. Baird (COG tags CSID 06059-81111-96) is a formerly retired Gear soldier who is an expert in several technical, mechanical, and scientific fields. And I'm an adaptable man." -Damon Baird's view of himself.Ĭorporal Damon S. Sent from a old but beautiful BB 8520 or a new and shinny PB 2." To survive out there in the field, you have to know how to adapt. Try to pull him to the side, to somewhere clear and, kill! If you kill the viking king, you pass, so there's no need to kill them all, unless you want to level up some more. I kept my allies near(swipe to the right) when the vikings were just beeing shot, and one or more came at me, i just swipped foward and "protected" me while shooting.Īs Caboose said, you can take shelter at the tavern, so, if your health is low, just make your way there, summoning the healing lady, and voila, new Bard, ready to kick some *+#. The other summoning was the healing lady and/or the rat or the merc.Īlmost all of the other vikings were also killed using the bow, but when i got one alone, i slashed it to death using the dual wield ability. The bug and the dog(which is imortal, altough it gets knocked down) keep them occupied and just i stay out of the sight and shoot. I used the bow, at least at the first four vikings. Get ready, coz like it or not, you're going up against the Viking lord and his buddies next. There are two vikings in there, so be prepared to use the same strategy of isolating one to kill it. Repeat till they're all dead, and carefully save, and make your way down to the storehouse. If you do kill him, resummon anything that was killed, and snag a second viking. If you can't kill him before your creatures are killed, run back in the tavern and start again. Every time he blocks you, parry attack, and go crazy until he blocks again. It really helps to dual-wield with the parry attack ability. Snag one viking for yourself, and finish him as fast as possible. Summon your light bug, and anything else, and let them handle three. Each time you enter and leave the tavern, the guards reset, so you'll have to make sure to kill the four thatbare after you in one go. Run out and to the east to tag the save point, and run back to the tavern. Run to the top left (north-east) corner of town, and take refuge in the tavern. Your main problem after picking this fight, is that you'll have four vikings chasing you around town, and more if you run near any wandering guards. Russ.I'll assume you attacked the vikings guarding the storehouse, or maybe one of the wandering guards. Problem is, I can't even take down one viking and I can't seem to get back out of finstown again. I made it through the finstown folks and into finstown itself and met the vikings.
